Joe, I've been through Newman's Duvall book and find a Lewis (p. 556) in Frederick Co. who appears to be my ancestor. In 1790 he is listed as Head of Household with 2 males under 16 and 4 females (the exact composition of my Lewis' family); he is married to a Wheeler; and he died about 1806. If he is the son of Capt. William, who died in 1810 according to Newman, then he died before his father. I've also noted all references to the tracts of land Newman said Lewis owned, namely "Duvall's Forest" and "Good Friday". On p. 476, Newman says Capt. William owned both these tracts. On p. 488 Newman says Samuel Duvall, son of Capt. William, deeded to Lewis Duvall, farmer, of Frederick County, another portion of "Duvall's Forest" and a portion of "Good Friday." This would appear to be a family connection. Lewis' widow moved to Ohio similar to the Duvall clan Susan is seeking in Belmont and Jefferson Co, OH. ? Check this Notes for ASYNETH DUVALL:
