  • Nathan died as a result of a car accident which occurred on July 8, 1989 just outside of Washburn, North Dakota. After spending 2 months in a coma, in intensive care from July 8 to August 8, and in the trauma unit from August 8 to September 8, he died exactly 2 months from the date of the accident. The family had traveled from Aurora, CO to Washburn for a Winn family reunion.
