    Ray Boots, Jr., 67, 717 E. Walnut St., Marion, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday in Marion General Hospital.

    Mr. BOOTS was born in Grant County and was a life resident of the Marion area. He was the great-great-great-grandson of Martin BOOTS and a descendant of the Miami Indians. He was a former truck driver for Thomas Milling Co., Marion. He was also a former employee of Palmers Produce and Foremost Foods, both of Marion, and had worked with his brother, Fred, as a painter.

    Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; four sons, Ray L., Van Buren, Richard A., Jonesville, Va., Randy F., West Covina, Calif., and William L., Marion; four daughters, Teresa COFFELT and Tina HUGHES, both of Marion, and Mrs. Greg (Anna) FOX and Mrs. Bill (Belinda) ORME, both of Gas City; a brother, Fred R., Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Julius (Evelyn) NALL and Mrs. Howard (Helen) GAMBLE, both of Marion; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Needham-Storey Funeral Service, Needham Chapel, 814 S. Adams St., Marion, with the Rev. Melvin Planck officiatin. Burial will be in the Estates of Serenity cemetery, Marion.

    Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
