  • "Familienbuch der Oberamtstadt Gaildorf in Württemberg (1610-1870)": #2825: vital data — apparently went  with her husband to America after 1854, with her illegimate daughter (since her husband again goes to the USA in 1878, it is unclear what had happened there with either mother or daughter) — Ship Frisia (Hamburg/Harve to NYC: arrived 13 Jul 1878) Schroff, Nanne, age 63, ‘lady [with husband, John]’ & no stated destination; ‘Nanne’ is correct age for this individual but given name, even as a nickname, leaves identity uncertain

                  but this husband goes to the USA twice, once in 1854 and again

                  in 1878, so what may have happened to either mother or this

                  daughter after 1854 is unclear, nor what surname this daughter

                  may have borne (her step-father was surnamed Schrof)
